How we make our money
We don't charge homeowners. We earn a referral fee from installers — only when they actually win a job. That keeps our incentives perfectly aligned: we only get paid if you're happy enough to proceed.
You pay nothing
The entire Intelligent Buyers service — energy plan, installer matching, support — is completely free to you as a homeowner.
Installers pay us a finder's fee
When an installer wins a job through us, they pay a small introduction fee. This is built into their margin — never added to your quote.
You still get £250 back
We pass some of that fee back to you as a guaranteed voucher discount. The installer knows this from day one — it's already in their pricing.
About the £250 voucher
When you accept a quote from one of our matched installers, a £250 voucher is automatically deducted from your final invoice. There's no code to remember, no cashback to claim. The installer confirms the deduction in writing before you sign anything. If you don't proceed, you owe us nothing — and we earn nothing.

How we vet every installer
We'd rather have fewer partners than compromise on quality. These are the minimum criteria every installer must meet before we'll recommend them.
MCS Certified
Every installer must hold current Microgeneration Certification Scheme status. Without it, you can't claim any government grant or Smart Export Guarantee payments.
✓ We verify certificates quarterly
Trading for 3+ years
Solar companies appear and disappear. We only work with businesses that have a proven track record and are unlikely to vanish mid-installation.
✓ Companies House check on every partner
At least 4.5★ average
We check Google, Trustpilot, and Which? Trusted Trader ratings. Any partner dropping below 4.5 is suspended from our network until issues are resolved.

Sufficient local capacity
A brilliant installer who's booked out for 9 months won't help you. We only match installers with the genuine capacity to complete your job within a reasonable timeframe.
