Three companies responding to the same specification gives you enough to compare confidently without being overwhelmed. Because all three price against your identical plan, the comparison is meaningful. More responses against different specs creates confusion — which is exactly what happens with other comparison sites.

It is a specification document built from your quiz answers. It sets out system size, battery requirements, inverter type, export strategy, and installation notes — tailored to your energy use and goals. It covers EV charging and heat pump considerations where relevant. An independent consultant would charge £200–£300 to produce the equivalent. It gives every installer the same brief, which is what makes their responses genuinely comparable.
